BWWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHH! I feel your pain so much as I look forward to my own on August 22nd! So much angst on both the child and mother’s part! I love your idea of role play and think it is so helpful to step outside of ourselves and realize that not only do they have choices but we do too! What a wonderfully, scary beginning to a new turn of events for these 12-year olds! Love you!

You are very blessed to still have your dad cheering you on and supporting you. My father passed away over 15 years ago and boy do I miss him. He wanted to see his grandchildren grow; unfortunately, he only met two of them for a very brief period of time. I miss him, but I am blessed with a friend who gave me a special gift the other day–sunflowers. I decided to place them on my night stand so that every morning when I wake-up, I see them first, think of my friend, and then turn toward the light of the new day and thank God for all my blessings–even Mac Truck Days!

Brilliant! I never really thought about it before…the scar tissue holding onto the new scarring instead of going back to ‘old ways’ of shape and form. It is awesome that we have such ability to cause significant and permanent change in our bodies and minds. Great thought!
